Allan Rich - "Hy Leibowitz"
“The golden age of television” marked the height of Rich’s early career, but blacklisted for his outspoken views during the McCarthy era Rich pursued a career on Wall Street. Collecting contemporary and modern art during this time Rich eventually opened a successful gallery on Madison Avenue in New York and by the early 1960’s returned to television with a guest appearance on The Defenders. Journey of the Fifth Horseman with Dustin Hoffman soon followed and in 1973 he co-starred with Al Pacino in Serpico. With dramatic guest roles on Hill Street Blues, Chicago Hope, All in the Family and The Nanny Rich is a recognizable on-screen presence. In the last decade, Rich has enjoyed roles in Disclosure, Quiz Show and Spielberg’s Amistad.
