“The golden age of television” marked the height of Rich’s early
career, but blacklisted for his outspoken views during the McCarthy era
Rich pursued a career on Wall Street. Collecting contemporary and
modern art during this time Rich eventually opened a successful gallery
on Madison Avenue in New York and by the early 1960’s returned to
television with a guest appearance on The Defenders. Journey
of the Fifth Horseman with Dustin Hoffman soon followed and in
1973 he co-starred with Al Pacino in Serpico. With dramatic
guest roles on Hill Street Blues, Chicago Hope, All
in the Family and The Nanny Rich is a recognizable
on-screen presence. In the last decade, Rich has enjoyed roles in Disclosure,
Quiz Show and Spielberg’s Amistad. |
